HydroContest, here we go!

The 4th edition of the Hydrocontest in Saint-Tropez was launched yesterday on a sunny day. 23 teams from 13 countries care competing against each other in the mythical Var cité in order to win one of the 8 coveted prizes of the first student contest dedicated to the energy efficiency of water.

Clear skies, a large crowd in spite of the return of classes, engineering schools that make the show: the first day of the Hydrocontest, Monday, could not have started under better auspices! After 48 hours of intense preparation, borrowed from frenzy and doubt, the 200 students engaged in the 4th edition of the naval engineering competition organised by the Hydros Foundation were finally able to take possession of their playground, near the mythical port of Saint-Tropez. It was also under the benevolent and visibly admiring gaze of the mayor of the city, Jean-Pierre Tuveri, that the start of the qualifying heats was given on Monday morning. Jérémie Lagarrigue of the Hydros Foundation declared that it was "delighted to be able to offer the event - traditionally organized on the shores of Lake Geneva - in the sumptuous city of  Saint-Tropez" to promote tomorrow in maritime transport.

Answer on September 10, after a tough competition concluded by a prize-giving in the presence of the sponsor of the Hydrocontest, the navigator Roland Jourdain.
