This is the promising program that awaits the 30 teams involved in the 5th edition of Hydrocontest, from 3 to 9 September in Saint-Tropez. The first eco-responsible student contest dedicated to maritime energy efficiency intends to take advantage of the bubbling of the French Riviera to raise awareness among the general public of the challenges of preserving the aquatic resource.

There, for 7 days, more than 300 students from 15 different countries will launch their prototypes and try to take it all in the 2 main categories of the Hydrocontest: the "mass transport" category, simulating the movement of a freighter with 200kg of and the category "light boats" which prefigures the transport of persons on a pleasure boat with only 20kg of ballast on board.

In a studious atmosphere, in a subtle mix of passion and spirit of competition, the future elite of international engineering will have to write their names to the prize list of a test admittedly young but nevertheless prestigious.

Who will succeed the Haute Ecole d’Ingenierie & d’Architecture (HEIA) from Fribourg, Switzerland (2017 winner of the "light boats" category), the l’Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland (2017 winner in the “mass transport” category) or the National University of Medellin, Colombia (victorious in the "Long distance race")?

Answer will be given on September 9, after a whole week of long fights that will be concluded by a prize-giving ceremony that is already memorable.
